Pa-Ted Spring Company Overview
Pa-Ted was founded in Bristol, Connecticut in 1946 by Pascal (Pat) Tedesco primarily to supply the local clock-making industry. Then his two sons, Richard and Fred Tedesco, took over and ran the company for 35 years and in 2005 sold the company to four managers: Dominic Rovero, Ken Dayton, Scott Close and (third generation) Erik Tedesco. From its modest beginning to today, Pa-Ted remains a privately-held company; its Bristol location is a 35,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility which employs over 50 highly skilled employees. The owners have made a commitment to continue growing the company and, in turn, focusing more on their customer’s needs and requirements. As part of this focus, keeping up with the latest technology and purchasing new manufacturing equipment has allowed Pa-Ted to maintain its status as the industry leader. Embracing this technology removes the limitations in the manufacturing of springs, wire-forms, fourslide, small stampings and assemblies. Furthermore, Pa-Ted, through requests from their customers, developed a rapid prototyping department allowing customers to test and design products in real time. In addition, by having its own in-house Engineering Department, Pa-Ted can work directly with their customer’s Engineering or R&D Departments providing a value added benefit. Pa-Ted’s Quality Department is another competence center that is highly skilled and trained specific to multiple industry standards. Moreover, Pa-Ted is an I.S.O. 9001:2000 Certified company. All the way down the production line to Pa-Ted’s special packaging, customers are given a complete product solution.
While all of the manufacturing is done in Bristol, Connecticut, Pa-Ted also has a warehouse in Bristol, as well as a warehouse and a sales engineer located in El Paso, Texas in order to offer more product sourcing options with a greater degree of flexibility for customers. In addition, Pa-Ted has representatives covering the United States, and is also shipping throughout the World. All of Pa-Ted’s facilities have the capacity for future growth.
Among Pa-Ted’s customers are many of the most well-known and well-respected companies in their industries. The joint success of Pa-Ted and its customers is based in treating each customer as if they were the only customer through superior customer service, superior product and by offering individually specific product engineering design support. Pa-Ted views its customers as partners, and focuses on helping them to achieve their goals.
